Born in the small town of Taft, TX, raised in the small town of Mathis, Tx, Emily Moreno is the youngest of five (5) children. While growing up the youngest is never easy, Emily has become the most confident and aspiring of the group. She is self-described as “strong, confident, and unafraid of making mistakes.” At the tender age of 23, Emily Moreno is armed with a soulful voice, a talented core of producers and a passion to fill the world with her beautiful music.
While her love of music is widespread, she is a representative of R&B and Pop culture. “I have been told that I was born for the music business and that my sound is like a breath of fresh air. Sweet, sexy, and filled with inspiration.” While her musical experience itself is limited, her raw talents proved to be too difficult to pass on as the executives at Youthtone Records will tell you. “Emily is the musical equivalent of a diamond in the rough” says Santiago Briones, of Youthtone Records. “She is without doubt a great talent; however, what attracted us most was her sincere passion for her craft.” Many fans of music would agree that passion is that special ingredient missing in our music today. For Emily, that passion may have been instilled on her by the desire to follow in her sister’s footsteps.
After a previous but brief stint with Youthtone Records Emily took time off from music to experience life in order to grow as an artist. Currently, you can find Emily at Sevun13 Studios working on new original music with a scheduled release of "Baby Boy" coming in summer 2011 followed by a much anticipated release of "Stronger" later this year. Emily also plans on re-recording her previous 1st single “Into the Night” that is sure to be a club hit.
